A selection of conference papers will be invited and after substantial extension may be considered for publication in the special issues. The paper selection will take place after the end of the conference by the IEEE CIBCB Organizing Committee and the invited papers will undergo the journal’s standard review process. The IEEE CIBCB Organizing Committee has arranged the following Special Issues:

- International Journal on Artificial Intelligence Tools (World Scientific).
- Frontier in Artificial Intelligence (Frontiers).
